Back to the Beach - Bears in Paradise
For the first five years, Bears In Paradise run started on the beach and in 2010, we are returning this annual event back to its roots: the fabulous Pinellas County beaches. After all, the sun and beaches are what attracts so many visitors to Florida in the first place. The Pinellas County beaches: St. Pete Beach, Redington Beach, Treasure Island and Indian Rocks Beach are all great communities. Each has those small time motels that are perfect spots to relax and frolic in the Florida Sunshine. The committee is searching out for a new venue. Check checking here for details in the future. Our annual Bear Run is
Bears in Paradise. This annual event offers a very relaxing weekend while
enjoying the company of Bears. Bears in Paradise is held each May at a local
hotel.
The West Florida Growlers has celebrated 5
years of Bears In Paradise at what was the world's largest all-gay resort; The
SunCoast Resort in St. Petersburg. This venue closed in 2007. It had 120 rooms,
five bars (including a leather bar), restaurant, heated pool, tennis courts,
sand volleyball courts, all gay shops and a live theater. |
